August
15th - Meet and Greet – Families are invited to come to the main sanctuary for a welcome and brief overviewby our principal. Afterwards, please head with your student to their new classroom to meet their teacher and classmates. School supplies can be dropped off at this time.

September
4th & 5th - Grandparents Day – Grandparents/grandparent figures are invited to bring their lunch and jointheir students to eat and fellowship together in the main sanctuary.
4th – M/W 3-yr-olds: 10:30-11:00
5th - Grades K-2: 11:15-11:45, Grades 3-6: 12:00-12:30, VPK & T/Th 3-yr-olds: 10:30-11:00
4th-25th – Charleston Wrap Fundraiser – Our annual fundraiser! Catalogs and information will be sent home. Thanks for shopping and supporting our school!
17th - Open House – Families are invited to come see the fantastic start your students have had! Explore their classrooms and swing by the CCA chapel for fellowship with other families.
Preschool-1st grade: 5:30-6:00pm
Grades 2-3: 5:45-6:15pm, Grades 4-6: 6:00-6:30pm
25th & 26th – Fitness With Dads Event – Dad’s bring your kids early to school for some fitness fun 80’s style! Dad’s are encouraged to dress up in pirate attire. Students should be in their uniform. Dad’s please keep your student with you and walk them to class when the event is done.
25th - Grades K-6: 8:00-8:25 in the big front field, VPK & M/W 3-yr-olds: 8:40-9:00 in the courtyard
26th – T/Th 3-yr-olds: 8:40-9:00 in the courtyard
October
3rd – Bring Your Bible to School Day – Students bring your bible to school!
16th – Fall Pictures – Grades K-6 must wear chapel attire. Order forms (which are optional) will be sent home
prior to picture day. Pictures will be taken of every student for our yearbook.
31st - Story Character Parade – Students wear costumes to school and parade through the parking lot for
families to see. Parents, please park in the front and walk to the carline area for the parade.
Preschool: 12:45-1:00, Grades K-6: 2:30-2:45
November
7th - White Table Event – Families are invited to join us in the main sanctuary as we honor our military. A
special White Table ceremony and reading will take place to honor MIA and POW military. Family members that have served in the military are encouraged to attend in uniform.
All Grades: 12:00-1:00
21st – Thanksgiving Lunch – Families are invited to join their students for feasting and fellowship. Signups for food will be posted on Remini as the event gets closer. Lunch will be in the CCA Chapel.

December
19th - Christmas Performance – Please join us in the main sanctuary as we celebrate Christmas with each
grade performing songs of the season. Students will have specific clothing/costumes assigned.

January
27th-31st - Literacy Week – A schoolwide celebration of reading! Everyone is invited to dress up in different
themes each day. Details will be posted closer to the event date.
February
3rd – 100th Day of School – Students come to school dressed as a 100-year-old!
14th - Valentine Grams – Parents may purchase Valentine Grams for their students to receive in class. March
3rd-7th - Dr. Seuss Week – A schoolwide celebration of Dr. Seuss! Everyone is invited to dress up in different
themed clothes each day. Details will be posted closer to the event date.
14th - Field Day – Parents are welcome to join their student for some outdoor fun! Classes move from station to
station playing various yard games. Parents please park in the front and join us on the big front field.

April
2nd-3rd – Movin’ and Groovin’ with Mom – Mom’s bring your kids early to school for some fitness fun 80’s style!
Mom’s are encouraged to dress up in 80’s workout attire for a friendly “Best Dressed” competition! Students must be in school uniforms. Mom’s please keep your student with you and walk them to class when the event is done.
2nd - Grades K-6: 8:00-8:25 on the big front field, VPK & M/W 3-yr-olds: 8:40-9:00 in the courtyard

15th – Purple Up Day/Month of the Military Child – We love our military students and encourage everyone to wear a purple top with their uniform bottoms today to show our support for these wonderful children! Military parents are invited to join us in uniform for a special chapel service.
Grades 1-6: 9:30-10:00, Preschool-Kinder: 10:00-10:30
17th – Easter Egg Hunt – Students bring your baskets for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! We will ask for each student to bring 12 prefilled eggs by April 15th and for some parents to volunteer hiding the eggs before each hunt. Families are welcome to come watch the fun!

21st-25th - Staff Appreciation Week – Please help us celebrate our wonderful staff this week! A signup list of different items/food/drinks will be posted on Remini as the week gets closer.
29th-May 6th – Terra Nova Testing – Grades 3-6 will take Terra Nova tests each morning.
May
20th – Water Day/Laguna’s Field Trip – Families are invited to join as classes move from station to station
playing water games. Students come to school in swimsuits under clothes and sunscreen already applied. Grades 4-6 will be having a field trip to Laguna’s in Pensacola Beach. More information and permission slips will be sent home for Laguna’s.

22nd - Preschool End of Year Performance & VPK Graduation - Families are invited to join us in the main sanctuary for a performance by our preschool students and our VPK graduation ceremony! Preschool: 12:00pm in the main sanctuary
27th – 5th Grade Graduation Banquet – Families of graduating 5th graders are invited to come celebrate their student’s achievement. The evening includes dinner, a class performance, and a commencement ceremony. Extended family is welcome and tickets can be purchased online in May.

28th – Talent Show – Open to students in grades K-6. Families are welcome to come watch! Audition date and more information will be sent home in April.
